Stamina AeroPilates Premier Reformer – This sub $500 pilates reformer is quite popular amongst those that want a studio quality pilates workout at home. The cardiovascular workout is similar to that which you get on a treadmill and it’s low impact (better for your body).

There are 4 levels of workout resistance with the elastic cords. We like that the reformer is elevated roughly 10 inches off the ground. Easier to get on and off of that way. There are over 50 exercises you can perform to get your body in better shape – get more strength and flexibility. Pilates classes are great at your local studio, but they can get expensive. So, once you know the proper exercises and form, start doing them at home with your personal pilates reformer like the Stamina 650.

We talked with several local pilates instructors to see which machines they recommend and the Stamina AeroPilates Premier was near the top of their list based on price. I love this machine. I have a severe disabling back injury with an infusion pump for pain medicine it's so bad - but I can use this machine to strengthen my core (abdominal strengthening and hamstring stretches) as well as a myriad of other strengthening exercises. Due to the lying down posture, I strengthen my core with the rebounder - stepping - alternating one leg at a time so as not to put too much stress on my back yet I can still feel it in my abdominal muscles. Well worth the money - would rather do this than pay for physical therapy!!!
